Jensen Huang Says Nvidia Will Sell Twice as Many Chips Next Year
Speaking Thursday at a summit in Scotland, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang told reporters he expects the company to "sell twice as many chips next year as we do this year," pushing back on growing Wall Street unease about the pace and payoff of AI infrastructure spending.
Huang framed the surge in demand as broad-based rather than concentrated among a handful of hyperscalers, pointing to AI's "contribution to the benefits of different industries, different economies" as governments and companies worldwide look to invest. The forecast follows Nvidia's own guidance of roughly 70% revenue growth for the fiscal year ending January 2028, putting the company on a path toward roughly $673 billion in annual sales.
Beyond its flagship AI GPUs, Nvidia's chip lineup spans CPUs, networking and switch silicon, optical-networking components, and laptop chips — though the company has never disclosed a total unit count, leaving analysts to debate how much of the doubling comes from AI accelerators specifically versus the rest of its portfolio.
