Anthropic Signs $10B Compute Deal With Nvidia-Backed Volta

Anthropic has signed a six-year, $10 billion compute agreement with Nvidia-backed startup Volta. The deal is delivered via Bitcoin miner Bitdeer Technologies through a 133MW data center in Norway running Nvidia's new Vera Rubin chips, underscoring how far AI labs are reaching outside the traditional hyperscalers to secure long-term compute capacity.
